May Madness

So the monkey went in to have her tonsils and adnoids out this past Tuesday. She had no idea what she was in for and when she woke up irate and in pain she screamed "I want my tonsils back in! It hurts!" They gave her 2 shots of morphine and she fell asleep and woke up a little better. She has been a trooper and really wants to eat and tries a little but it hurts, she is drinking, that is all I am really concerned with. This afternoon was a little tough when the boys went to swim at a neighbors and she could not go so I gave her some ice cream to try and buy her off and she said I am gonna go look at a flower in the yard.... and went to the neighbors house and got the boys and said they needed to come home to eat ice cream....so they came and I said that I had not requested them and they could go back...so they did and then she said I just wanted to share my ice cream....nice try at a cover but I'm not buying it. But she did not cross the street so no major rules were broken. She has been pretty good on the pain factor...she hurts and is now not on as much and is CRANKY so we may need to bump it back up and that is her normal reaction when she feels dumpy.

Football has been going great for the boys. Both are in great physical shape and able to play 80% + of the games and are not winded at the end...amazing to me. Reid has had numerous LONG runs for TD, and both are tackling like champs. I hope this is a pre-cursor to an awesome fall. I plan on charging my camera so I can take some photos this weekend to share. This is one of Reids td's.

Mothers day is this weekend and I am sure I will get a few handmade momentos that I will cherish, however I want my second dryer hooked up. I have 2 washers and kinda 3 dryers one unit is a washer and dryer but the dryer cycle on it is like 3 hours so not real efficient, but it is ventless so an option. My real 2nd dryer needs a vent and more voltage or something so heres hoping I get that too!!! I m also hoping for a pandora bead....we will see.

In the next few weeks we will wind down school and Macy will graduate pre-school... so let the pomp and circumstance commence...hard to believe that chapter of our life is closing....thats huge.

Well I found this Mothers Day Poem that I liked so I will share it:

Before I was a Mom, I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom, I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom, I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom, I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom, I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body..
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,

the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL THE MOMS OUT THERE
