Wow I remember the day he was born... and it does not seem like it was 9 years ago! What a blessing you are... my little helper... if there is something that needs to be done you are the one to do it... help cook, clean, work, build... you are soo creative and love legos... and building things we joke that all you need is "some string, bungee cords, hammer and nails" and you can do anything. You are the kid with the common sense that I an sure will be imperative when they kids are able to stay home alone... Dale will have the age to make it possible but Reid will be the one to keep you alive and fed. You have turned in to such an athlete and a great kid... respectful and honest... You are still a sensitive guy and really do not like to dissapoint others or feel foolish infront of other.... and lets be honest who does? and on occasion overreact ...He is doing great in school... but does not like school work... he likes recess and pe! He still has a lot of kid in him and loves to play outside, and even play with Macy, and Dale.. when he is not fighting with them!
So Reid had a great birthday week... Friday he had cupcakes with his class, and his own personal junk food menu. He picked dinner at MoMaks his fav place to eat. I made a lego cake... it was no masterpiece but obvious that it was legos and yummy so a total success. Then he got some Legos he NEEDED and could not wait to get home to assemble them before his birth time of 1043 pm. And he got it done at the deadline and he loves them. Saturday we had a party at Amazing Jump this trampoline playground with tramp dodge ball and basketball and tons of runs to play on...Dale actually had a party earlier that day and jumped for 7 hours... he is still sore. Scott and Tanya came down with Sam and Sophie, Grandma and Bepaw came as well even after coming in the previous night for MoMaks... (they rock) and a group of his friends.... it was a great party ... a little lacking on pics bc the kids would not sit still... it was momentary pit stops all night, not even time out to open gifts there however he got some more Legos that He NEEDED and wanted and were not repeats... a couple things he did not know he needed until he opened them and money to buy an RC car he wants and now has enough so he is thrilled for that.
Its been a fast and amazing first 9 years... I am excited to see what the next 9 bring but I can wait for them to happen....slowly! I love you Reid! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPad
