Bevo Bevo Bevo

well if its not a kid hurt its a dog... a month ago sami bit bevos ear and we managed to get it healed up and.... sunday he and the kids were squirrel hunting... we have this one who taunts him and hangs out on a high branch and dangles his paws and tail... WELL Bevo is determined and has gotten close and did again Sunday and ran up the wood fence to get it and caught his paw on the fence somehow...sliced open the pad of his foot... and did it good or bad enough to need to take him to the vet er... so ffwd 3 hours and we have a soft cast and glue job. so we followed the instructions to take off soft cast in 24 hrs... we did and he did Ok for about 4 hours but at 10 he split it open going upstairs... so we rewrapped it up and by morning he blead thru that so I redid it better more like the vet and it was good...clean...and it lasted until 4 when somehow he got it off reopened it and it was bleeding pretty good so we took him back... and since it had been opened for a while we can't close it back due to bacteria...so we now have a cone of shame to put on him if he cant leave it alone. Heres hoping this is a fast heal and lacking blood on my floors. sunday at 12

happy birthday reid-o

the way you were

Wow I remember the day he was born... and it does not seem like it was 9 years ago! What a blessing you are... my little helper... if there is something that needs to be done you are the one to do it... help cook, clean, work, build... you are soo creative and love legos... and building things we joke that all you need is "some string, bungee cords, hammer and nails" and you can do anything. You are the kid with the common sense that I an sure will be imperative when they kids are able to stay home alone... Dale will have the age to make it possible but Reid will be the one to keep you alive and fed. You have turned in to such an athlete and a great kid... respectful and honest... You are still a sensitive guy and really do not like to dissapoint others or feel foolish infront of other.... and lets be honest who does? and on occasion overreact ...He is doing great in school... but does not like school work... he likes recess and pe! He still has a lot of kid in him and loves to play outside, and even play with Macy, and Dale.. when he is not fighting with them!

So Reid had a great birthday week... Friday he had cupcakes with his class, and his own personal junk food menu. He picked dinner at MoMaks his fav place to eat. I made a lego cake... it was no masterpiece but obvious that it was legos and yummy so a total success. Then he got some Legos he NEEDED and could not wait to get home to assemble them before his birth time of 1043 pm. And he got it done at the deadline and he loves them. Saturday we had a party at Amazing Jump this trampoline playground with tramp dodge ball and basketball and tons of runs to play on...Dale actually had a party earlier that day and jumped for 7 hours... he is still sore. Scott and Tanya came down with Sam and Sophie, Grandma and Bepaw came as well even after coming in the previous night for MoMaks... (they rock) and a group of his friends.... it was a great party ... a little lacking on pics bc the kids would not sit still... it was momentary pit stops all night, not even time out to open gifts there however he got some more Legos that He NEEDED and wanted and were not repeats... a couple things he did not know he needed until he opened them and money to buy an RC car he wants and now has enough so he is thrilled for that.

Its been a fast and amazing first 9 years... I am excited to see what the next 9 bring but I can wait for them to happen....slowly! I love you Reid! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPad

Happy New Year

Happy twenty dozen folks... and i hope that this is not the end of it all come Dec 21.... We celebrated here at home and Bevo did not appreciate all the fireworks... and Duke and I were kinda amazed there was as many as there were here... like tons it was sooo loud outside. So we had to sedate the dogs and Bevo actually 2 times... and turns out we live OUTSIDE the city limits and could have shot off fireworks legally! so the kids were a little bummed but we did not figure it out until after midnight so good to know for next year. Sad news for the dogs and the fact that we will be on a cruise this 4th of July and he will have to be in a kennel alone and scared... maybe the vet can give me something potent to give him for that. here he is under the bed (his safe place) and barking non stop and scared silly. We actually also bought a shock/ vibrate collar... we duke bought it for me... I wanted it but did not what to buy it and have only vibrated him and he really responds well it gets his attention without hurting him..... a good purchase i think but we did not use is last night cause that would have been mean in my book as he heard sounds and smelled weird stuff.

Macy had an image changing event happen she lost her 2 front teeth on the 30 and 31st. one was loose and just not ready and the other was not really at all but she and Reid were playing tug o war and she decided to put the rope in her mouth...totally logical right... and anyhow out popped the not so loose tooth.... and then the following day the other one was crazy loose and almost fell out ... so i a have a toothless lady... a sight that i love

minus one tooth... and yes thats blood on her chin and cheeks

minus 2 teeth with a big ole gap... love it So our 2012 is here and hopefully full of promise and opportunities and improved economic standings for the whole country. I am so blessed to be typing this from the comfort of my home I can afford, on a device that is a luxury, with a family that is healthy and happy ... a pretty great start to 2012! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPad

christmas recap

well this is the second writting of this post as my app on the ipad went nutty and i had to down load it over and lost what I had.... bummer but at least fairly easy fix. Christmas came and went with out a hitch... Santa did not disappoint, Mom and Dad did not disappoint ...and actually the kids said it was the best Christmas yet so I guess GOOO ME!

the ginger train... that did not turn out like the box picture to start our engine is a puppy

laying out food for Santa's crew

Reindeer breakfast cakes

Bevos Massive bone... that a week later is still around which is a feat

The tree before the festivities Dale did not really ask for much and all the video games he wanted he had so one of his gifts was a pair of pants and i do not ususally give the boys clothes as it is a loss on them... but to make the pants better we stuffed the pockets with money for a video game and made him try them on to make sure they fit and when he went to push the pockets down...jackpot... he called them hi money giving pants and thus far every time hes worn them he gets money ... which is all of 2 wears so far but hey pretty good odds if you ask me. ( the second wear was to Kerrville Christmas and Great Grandma gives a gift of money along with a normal gift.) He also got a really cool optical illusion book that turned out to be something he loves, and we ordered him a honey badger doll that turned out to be a limited edition thing and he LOVES it. Momma Sam gave him some sweet headphones for his game system that was also a big hit, and Grandma and Bepaw gave another week at camp this summer and he was stoked for that.... he got a bunch more but this will be extra long if i don't stick to highlights.

Reid he got .... hard to remember since he tears thru his gifts so fast and does not really share what he got... but he did get a massive amount of legos a poilce city, marine city, and more police cars... so now yet another table is claimed by the legos.... this makes 3 tables thus far and i guess as long as it is not my dining table i am ok with it. He also got some video games, a punching bag that he really loves that will also have a small circuit in the garage to allow him to work out when he wants. He also got a week at camp that he is very excited about although was a bit less expressive. He and all the kids actually got their own pool cues that are their size... so we have had lots of pool going lately too.

Macy she racked it in... she got a build a bear from Mama Sam, Cutie Pie is a very loved addition to the animal kingdom we have. She also got a zhu zhu pet city with more zhu zhu's that really wig out the dog. I made her a new bed set for her bed she is getting a full size bed. She also got some video games, fairies, dolls and clothes for them, she also got a week at camp and decided she did not like camp.... although she LOVED it last summer... and even wanted to sing the grace they did at camp at Christmas Dinner .... and on the way home said she did like the desserts , and swimming, and horses, and animals, and crafts .....mmmmk so what did you not like? The drive home, and rope swing it was kinda scary.... K so the rope swing it optional and the drive is a little long... but she decided she did want to go back after all.

Mama Sam we here thru Christmas and then we did Kerrville Christmas on Monday with Scott and Tanya, Sam and Sophie and Grandma and Bepaw and skyped in Brad and family in California. Kinda sad they could not make it in but hey thats sometimes how it goes. We did make it to the river walk for dinner and lights ... the LED's were amazing

Duke and I were also spoiled this Christmas Duke got a new sound bar for his new gigantic TV, some T's that he really needed as his were a little worn and one it a whataburger one with a dinosaur that he loves for some reason. and some magazines he loves. He also got Tomb Raider the trilogy on PS3 that he a Dale are uberconsumed with and a nerf gun that he is all but too happy to shoot you with. I got lotion, and perfume, a picture frame I wanted some stuff for the kitchen, movie money for some mommy matinées, i tunes money that i have partially used to by the Royal Tailor cd ... LOVE them, and a new fridge... it is the side by side with a freezer drawer... gonna be awesome to have 2 again. I also got a gift from my dad that i adore ... a cedar cross that he carved out of one log... and he is really allergic to cedar so it is truly a labor of love and I have wanted one for a really long time.
